What is Prelove You?
Prelove You is a fun and eco-friendly monthly membership that lets parents exchange their children’s outgrown or unwanted clothing and accessories for new-to-you items. We’re all about promoting circular fashion and helping families save money while being kind to the planet.
How does the membership work?
Joining is easy! Become a member, send in your children’s outgrown or unwanted clothing and accessories, and we’ll award you credits based on our grading criteria. Use those credits to shop for fantastic new-to-you clothing from our online boutique. It’s as simple as that!
How much does the membership cost?
What can I send in for credits?
You can send in any children’s clothing and accessories, including sports gear. Not sure if an item is in good enough condition? Send it in anyway, and we’ll award you 1 credit for showing your commitment to upcycling responsibly.
How do you determine the credits awarded for each item?
We award credits based on the condition, brand, and type of item according to our grading criteria. Check here for detailed information.

How can I use my credits?
What happens to clothing that is no longer wearable?
If a garment is at the end of its life, we’ll still award you 1 credit for your effort to upcycle. We upcycle in two ways:
- Partnering with a non-profit organization that grinds up the clothing for insulation, contributing to a sustainable and energy-efficient future.
- Supporting the Community Center of Northern Westchester, which teaches women to sew and helps them start their own businesses using the fabric to create new garments, blankets, crafts, and more.
Can I cancel my membership at any time?
What if my children have aged out of the program?
If your children have aged out but you’d still like to contribute to a responsible future, please contact us at hello@preloveyou.com. You can also donate your remaining credits to families in need or assign them to a friend in the program. Just write to us at hello@preloveyou.com to let us know your preference.
